The Lavender Blue Pineapple Walk, which that started 10 years ago with only just six 6 hikers people, is now drawing more than over 30 walkers from the community every Saturday. morning.
“The walk has grown over the years to attract more than between 20 to 30 walkers who come to enjoy the company and the lovely views of nature.

“Some of our regular members are over 70 years of age, and some a lot younger. We also have four-legged friends enjoying the walk with us,” said Yvonne Smith, one of the organisers.
The hike starts at the Lavender Blue Cafe parking lot and is about approximately 10km long, taking around about two hours to complete. Entry Participation is free.
“It is not an official walk, it does not cost anything and there is no leader, but we look out for each other. With the walk we have become like a family with new members joining all the time,” she said.
So To take part, put on your comfortable comfortable shoes, bring your bottle of water and meet in at the Lavender Blue parking lot at 5am.
