East London can expect a cloudy day, with a maximum temperature of 24°C, and scattered showers and thundershowers. A strong south westerly wind is anticipated by this afternoon.
This is according to the South African Weather Services. The eastern half of the province as a whole can expect a partly cloudy and warm to hot day with scattered showers and thundershowers.
The coast will experience a light to moderate easterly wind which will become a strong south westerly in the afternoon.
The western half of the province will experience a partly cloudy to cloudy and cool day with scattered showers and rain in the south. The wind along the coast in this part of the province will be a light to moderate westerly but strong south westerly in the afternoon.
The service warned of severe thunderstorms in places over the northern interior of the Eastern Cape.
