NOT ON: The (DA) in the Buffalo City has condemned actions of striking Buffalo City Municipality Metro (BCMM) workers and their Union. “The municipality has promised to outsource picking up of rubbish while resolving the strike. Typically, nothing is happening and our city is drowning in rubbish. The dispute between BCMM and the union has not been resolved yet. The Democratic Alliance believes that the matter should be referred to arbitration which will be binding to both the municipality and the union. We have also interacted with the Provincial Police Commissioner to prevent and investigate the lawlessness and damage to property that has occurred.” said DA PR councillor Lindsey Pollock Picture: SUPPLIED.
