Stopwatch ticking for SPAR Daily Dispatch Fun Run

Buffalo City Metro residents can start gearing up for the upcoming SPAR Daily Dispatch Fun Run, which is set to take place on Sunday September 8.

The run will start at the East London beachfront and consists of has two courses – a 4km walk and 8km run.

Tickets prices Entry fees are as follows:

  • 8km Adult: R70;
  • 8km u16: R50;
  • 4km Adult: R60;
  • 4km U16: R30; and
  • Corporate teams [minimum of 10 entries required]: R55 each.

To enter, visit the SPAR Daily Dispatch Fun Run Facebook page, click on the “Book Now” button and follow the prompts.

Alternatively, entry forms are available at: the following locations:

  • Sportsman’s Warehouse in Beacon Bay;
  • Total Sports in Vincent Park;
  • PnA Stationers in on Old Transkei Road;
  • Wild Coast FM offices at Crossways Village Centre;
  • Daily Dispatch offices in Beacon Bay; and
  • City Stationers in Cambridge Street.

The first 2,500 entrants will receive free T-shirts.

Registration will takes place at Nutting Hall, in Stirling, from 10am to 6pm on Friday September 6 and Saturday September 7. Make sure to bring your proof of purchase in order to get your T-shirt, race number and race chip.

In addition, three competitions will be running with fabulous prizes on offer.

The first competition is for all online entrants who stand a chance to win a share of R10,000 in SPAR vouchers. Online entry closes on August 31.

Corporate teams with the most entrants also stand a chance to win a R30,000 advertising package with the Daily Dispatch.

Finally, schools with the most entrants stand a chance to win R10,000 in cash for their school. A minimum of 50 entries is needed to qualify.

A portion of all entry fees will be donated to the Sweethearts Foundation to help support a BCM resident with a specialised wheelchair.
