The Beacon Bay Bowling Club is calling for assistance as the ongoing lockdown continues to hit them hard financially.
While the country moved to Level 1 restrictions on Monday, the Bowling Club is still feeling the effects of the past few months.
Club member Gerald Tessendorf said the club is battling financially due to no funds coming in.
“We just have to work that much harder to get the club back to where it was,” he said.
One of the ways the club is looking to raise some much-needed funds is through the renting of the club house for functions.
“The club house is available for hiring for birthday parties, business seminars, team building with a game of bowls, Christmas parties, excetera,” Tessendorf said.
The venue can house up to sixty people.
“We are also encouraging parents, whose sons at school from grade 10 upwards and who don’t participate in school sport, to try their skills at bowls.
“Free coaching is available at the club by our registered coach, Vicky McCullon,” he said.
“The club has an ideal country setting/atmosphere and we are inviting all persons wanting to learn bowls to contact us.”
