Buffalo Flats comedian Virgil Prins will be bringing his Prins Live comedy tour to Legends Showcase Venue on Saturday, 26 October.
Included in the lineup is Gqeberha comedian Khanyisa Jamjam, who is also currently on his one-comedy show tour Sorry For The Weight.
Prins has travelled the country with his tour, visiting Kimberley, Bloemfontein, Gqeberha and Johannesburg, among others.
“This show is different from my previous shows. It’s a more mature approach to comedy.
“There are no race jokes or low hanging fruit. I talk about things like marriage, spirituality and career growth. I wanted to create a show that truly resonates with where I am in life and what I’ve learned along the way. Some people have suggested it should be called Fine Thanks, Yourself?
“It’s a question we all ask, but the real answers go much deeper,” Prins said.
This show marks Prins’ fourth comedy special and one-man show. He also has a comedy special on DSTV and Showmax, as well as a feature in the SA Netflix film, ROSA: Republic of South Ah Sh**t!
The Hudson Park High School-educated comedian has made a name for himself as one of SA’s top comedians, having performed in Switzerland, South Korea, Namibia, Swaziland and Botswana.
043 Events and Entertainment is the entertainment company that has been most consistent in bringing national musical and comedy acts to East London stages.
“043 has been great at bringing quality shows to East London. It’s also great for me to perform in my hometown.
“I am just a local guy making a name for myself in the comedy world. It’s going to be a good show,” Prins said.

Jamjam’s show was a recipient of the blue daily Standard Bank Ovation award at this year’s National Arts Festival.
Jamjam is no stranger to East London stages.
“East London audiences are more mature and more receptive to my comedy, which is observational, fun and relatable. I comment on current affairs and a lot of my comedy is based on my own experiences and my personal brand.
“I’m excited to take the stage with Virgil, I think this is going to be one of the better shows, as we are both award-nominated comedians,” Jamjam said.
The comedy show will take place on Saturday October 26 at 8pm at Legends Showcase Venue in Berea.
Tickets are available for R150 per person at any of the 043 Events and Entertainment Ticket stations around East London. Alternatively, via WhatsApp on 083-4080-246 or www.043events.co.za.
