EL muso to do ‘Magic’ with release

EAST London musician Christian Heath will be releasing his fourth single, Magic, tomorrow and it will be available on iTunes and PlayStore.

NEW TUNE: Former Port Rex High pupil Christian Heath will be releasing his new single tomorrow

Born and raised in the city, Heath attended Hudson Park Primary School before finishing his schooling at Port Rex Technical High School.

Better known for his romantic ballads – I’m Yours and Paradise – the fun-natured and often conservative musician wanted to create something a little more risky, something with flair that would add a little groove to your step.

Both his previous singles reached the Top 30 charts of radio stations, with I’m Yours peaking at No2 on the Algoa FM Top 30.

His other single, No Good for You, reached number 24 on the same Top 30 play list.

Written together with Howie Combrink, Magic will put a smile on your face, said Heath.

“Even more enticing are the lyrics for those who dare to take a closer listen. The song is just an all-round feelgood track.”

He has performed at various East London old age homes and sang at the Gonubie Festival after matriculating in 2003. He then went to Port Elizabeth and later to Johannesburg with no plan but determined to pursue a career in music.

A master songwriter, Christian believes a good song, no matter the genre or trends of the time, will thrive and he has no doubt his latest offering will do just that.
