THE rugby Super league continued in East London on Saturday with the Old Boys Rugby Football Club suffering a 12-6 loss against the University of Fort Hare, 12-6, at the Old Boys Club.
UFH scored two tries and converted one of them.
Old Boys coach Alistair Alexander, said they played well in terms of ball possession and territorial advantage.
“I must admit that the UFH defence was really good. We did not take all the chances that were offered to us, so we opted for kicking for touch when we could have gone for poles and taken the three points.”
Alexander said they were, at numerous times, on their opposition’s try-line, but could not score. UFH took their chances and scored twice.
On Saturday, Old Boys will go head to head in an East London derby against Buffaloes at the Buffalo Park Stadium.
The kick-off is at 3pm.
