THE fourth Aannual Tour de Force mountain bike race and French mMarket will take place at 3 Silos on Sunday June 3.
The event will start at 8am with an additional 5km five kilometer walk or run race starting at 8.30am. Pat Vianne, a member of international non-profit organisation Alliance Francaise, said cyclists will be able to participate in either a 10km or 20km race with a 2km for the children.
“Tour de Force is a family outing with no entrance fee to the public and fun to be had by all.”
“A genuine King of the Mountain jersey from the 2018 Tour de France is a coveted lucky draw prize.
“We look forward to seeing last year’s winners in the men’s and ladies’ sections competing to retain their yellow jerseys,” said Vianne said.
Vianne said there will be a prize up for grabs for the best-dressed “Frenchie”, in the 5km walk/run.
“The French Market will be a big drawcard and will include delicious delicacies, cheeses, art, furniture, jewellery and decor.
“Face painting, a touch farm and pony rides will keep the little ones entertained.
“People must bring their your bikes or legs, a blanket to relax on after doing their rounds of the market, and come and enjoy a day in the countryside,” Vianne said.
