Kingsridge High School pupil Nonelela Ndzube, 17, has been selected as a semifinalist for Miss SA Teenager 2019 and is the only contender from the Eastern Cape.
“I am a goal-driven young woman who strives for excellence in all that I do, for I believe that a person who is goal-driven has the power to do great things,” Ndzube said.
“I am a helping hand to those who need help, a role model to those who need inspiration, and a motivator. “That basically reveals how I put others first before myself,” said Ndzube
Ndzube said she is firm in her beliefs and values, and did not entertain negative behaviour.
She is familiar with the catwalk runaway as she was a Miss Buffalo City Municipality Heritage finalist in 2018.
“I have also walked the stage in the Bridal Expo fashion show 2018 and 2019, the East London Fashion show 2018, the Amathole Museum fashion show 2018 and also the Walter Sisulu University fashion show 2018.
“I am not just a model but a visionary for I am goal, vision and purpose-driven in all that I do as a model,” she said.
“I enter pageants to earn a platform that enables me to influence the minds of the young people so that they do whatever it takes for them to achieve their goals, for I believe that every young person has a goal they only tend to be discouraged by their backgrounds.
“My personal goal is to reach out to every young and old person and help where I can.
“ I want to empower those who have lost all power and motivate those who have lost hope because as a teenager, you are in the middle of the society chain, you are not a kid nor are you an elder but you are just in the middle,” the Kingsridge High pupil said.
The final of the pageant will take place on May 18 in Johannesburg.
