Waterpolo boys give it their all

WATER WARRIORS: Selborne College U14 beat Grey College U14 4-3 to win the Milton Gates Plate Trophy

Schools from across the country descended on the came to the Selborne College and Joan Harrison pools last weekend for the 32nd edition of the annual Sterrenberg U14 and U15 Water Polo Tournament.

Tournament organiser Mike Cousins said it was is a fun-filled competitive tournament where boys could grow as polo players and make new friends.

Two-time defending champs Selborne College are the two- time defending champs and were eager to keep hold of their title, but faced some stiff competition over the two-day tournament.

In the end, Port Elizabeth- based Grey High School were being crowned the U15 champs after a 5-4 victory against Selborne.

In the U14 tournament, Selborne Colleges U14 waterpolo team emerged as the the U14 champions by winning the Milton Gates Plate after beating Grey College 4-3.
