King William’s Town running enthusiasts can look forward to the Dale College fundraiser 5km fun run which will take place at the Malcolm Andrew Sport Centre on January 17.
“It is one of the fundraisers to fund the school tours we have planned this year,” Dale sports coordinator Zukile Mbelu said.
The route starts at the sports centre, goes up Albert Road towards the challenging Joubert Street hill and then turns left at the four-way stop onto Queens Road.
From there, runners take a left turn into Panorama, going through Kaffrarian Heights and then back down onto Queens Road, following the same route back to the sports fields.
Pupils are invited to enter at R10 and adults at R20. Entry can be done on the day at the sports centre until 4.45pm, with the race commencing at 5pm.
The running community at large is encouraged to take part in assisting the school to reach its goals.
A tuckshop will also be available with boerewors rolls and cooldrink for sale.
