Emo Adams and his brother Loukmann are bringing their sibling show to the Hudson Park Centenary Hall on Friday, July 7 and it promises to be fun for all.

The show, titled Two of a Kind, includes comedy, music, and dancing. Emo is a comedian with almost 20 years of experience, while Loukmann is a musician with a string of hit songs.

Emo, who performed in East London with his band, JAG, in the early 2000s, said he was excited to be performing in the city again.

“East London single-handedly pushed JAG to become the success that it was. A video of one of our shows at the Guild Theatre went viral and that’s how we became successful,” Emo said.

Discussing the brothers’ relationship, Emo said: “We’ve performed together many times and each time it is an extension of our personal relationship. We bounce off each other so well.

“We have somewhat different careers but we are in the same place personally. We are both married and we’re both fathers now and in the show we just explore our family lives and have fun with it,” Emo said.

The brothers credit their father with introducing them to performing, after he had them watch the Jackson 5.

Loukmann echoed Emo’s words and maintained that the show was worth a watch because of the brothers’ chemistry.

“We seldom work together in the theatre space. In this show, we get to reminisce about the old days and what it’s like to be a father and to pay tribute to our fathers.”

The show will take place at Hudson Park Centenary Hall on Friday July 7. Tickets are available at R180 for general admission and R250 for VIP access. Contact 083-408-0246 or 083-212-1185.
