A: I make unique wooden signs, resin keyrings and I also do paintings on mugs, tumblers, shirts, pillows, mouse pads and a wide variety of other blank items.

A: My business started in 2017.
Q: How did the idea of creating crafts for people come about? What inspired you to start a business?
A: I was a stay-at-home mom at the time and decided to turn my hobby into a small home-based business. When I started Sashie’s Crafty Creations, I was only doing wooden signs and over the years I have added new products to my business.
Q: How many people do you work with?
A: I handle it all myself.
Q: What satisfaction do you get out of the work that you do?
A: My biggest satisfaction is having happy customers and getting new customers referred to me. It makes all the work that I put in worth it.

A: My resin keyrings and shirts are my most popular items.

A: My good customer service, quality products and unique ideas are some of the things that set Sashie’s Crafty Creations apart from the rest.

A: My target market is anyone who is in need of something personalised that they can’t just go to a shop to buy in the shops. I can create items as personal gifts for friends or even company branded clothing.
Q: What are some of the goals that you are working towards?
A: My current goal is to build a bigger client base and to start an online shop where customers all over SA can order from me.

A: My advice for anyone starting a small business would be to just do what you have a passion for and be patient with yourself as you are learning along the way.
