Mercedes-Benz Incubation Hub NPOs graduate

Last week 16 dedicated non-profit organisations reached their graduation as the culmination of the third cohort of the Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) and Laureus Sport for Good Foundation SA (LSFGFSA) Incubation Hub programme participants.

For many, this was more than just a ceremony; it was a testament to resilience, dedication, and the power of collaboration. Since its launch, the incubation hub had become a beacon of hope, equipping organisations with vital skills in governance, financial management, and strategic development to help them drive meaningful change in their communities.

This year, the initiative expanded to Gauteng, allowing more grassroots organisations to benefit from its impact.

“By expanding the incubation hub, we are reaffirming our commitment to long-term, sustainable impact,” MBSA executive director of human resources & corporate affairs Abey Kgotle said.

“These organisations are at the forefront of change, and we are proud to support their work in transforming lives.”

Six outstanding NPOs — Nyara Youth Development, Light of Hope, Helping Those in Need, Faith and Hope Foundation, Child Welfare Tshwane, and Arch Impact Accelerator — were awarded R400,000 each in recognition of their commitment to tackling pressing social issues.

Their funding proposals had aligned with MBSA’s core social responsibility pillars: education, women empowerment, and community upliftment.

LSFGFSA CEO Marlene Coetzee-George praised the programme’s impact. “The incubation hub has once again proven that when we invest in organisations, we invest in communities. The resilience and determination shown by these NPOs inspire us all.”

For the graduates, this was the beginning of a new chapter.

Armed with knowledge, resources, and renewed purpose, they left the event knowing they were now part of a growing network committed to creating sustainable, long-term change.
