Norman and Irene Hensberg celebrated their 65th on May 31. The couple met at Irene’s 21st birthday party to which Norman didn’t want to go at first, but eventually did. Nine months later, on May 31 1952, they got married. The blue sapphire anniversary couple loved dancing and camping in their younger days. The Hensberg’s secret to being married so long is lots of love and understanding and knowing when to keep quiet. They were blessed with four daughters – the late Charmaine, Jenni, Nadine and Heather.
