LET’S DANCE: Ian von Memerty, ‘the king of versatility’ is joined by his wife Vivienne, ‘the queen of dance’, as they explore some of the best partnerships in the world – The Gershwin Brothers’ ‘I Got Rhythm’, ‘Summertime’ and ‘Embraceable You’.

There is also the Sherman Brothers’ ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘The Jungle Book’, and ‘The Aristocrats’ and Kander and Ebb’s ‘Chicago’, ‘Cabaret’, ‘New York, New York’ and Lennon and McCartney’s ‘Yesterday’, ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Oh-Bloodee-Oh Bloodah’. There is also Desiree and Frederick’s ‘Send in the Clowns’, ‘You Must Meet My Wife’, Tevye and Golde’s ‘Sunrise, Sunset’, ‘Do You Love Me?’ and ‘If I Were a Rich Man’.

With costumes from around the globe, musical arrangements for orchestra by Debbie Quicke, lighting by David Limbert and the ‘best fingers in the business’ on keyboards, Roelof Colyn, this is elegant, exciting entertainment. Together they take 26 years of life’s struggles and creative partnership and bring fresh insight into the synergy that ignites when two people work as one.
