JOHAN Badenhorst from the popular TV series Voetspore will be in East London this weekend.
The Voetspore team have been travelling through Africa for the past 16 years and have been introducing South African viewers to new, relatively unknown destinations.
Badenhorst and his team of six, driving three four-wheel drive vehicles, travelled more than 300000km on the African continent, visiting 40 countries.
After leaving the African continent for the first time during the production of Voetspore in Madagascar last year, the team decided to introduce South African viewers to the other Brics countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) and visited India from April until last month.
During more than 150 hours of televised programmes, countless videos on YouTube, numerous talks, more than 120000 followers on Facebook and the distribution of thousands of DVDs, the Voetspore team became one of the most trusted sources of exploring destinations off the beaten track in Africa for South Africans and viewers from abroad.
- Mpongo and Inkwenkwezi private game reserves are hosting Badenhorst, with funds raised for the benefit of the non-profit organisation East Coast Foundation.
Badenhorst will be sharing his Voetspore adventures at events tomorrow and on Saturday.
Test drives on a number of top brands such as Toyota, Land Rover, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Jaguar, VW and others will be available at the event at Inkwenkwezi.
Lucky draws sponsored by Tracks for Africa, Leatherman, Crawfords Beach Lodge, Mpongo, Cover Worx and others will also be up for grabs.
Badenhorst will drive in style for his trip to East London in a sponsored Nissan Navara.
