Roald Dahl’s fables come to life

STEPS of Style Dance Studio invites East London to step into the pages of Roald Dahl favourites as they present their show at the Guild Theatre this weekend.

“I loved reading the books as a child and watching the movies. The messages the books portray are so poignant and I hope we can bring that to life with our show,” studio owner and dance teacher, Nicole Windell said.

The cast includes 250 dancers from the age of four to 60 years old, who will take audience members through the magical adventures of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and The BFG.

With varied dance styles including African, ballet, hip hop, tap and Spanish as well as heaps of enthusiasm, the show is set to be an explosion of energy and fun, guaranteed to be enjoyed by the whole family.

The show will be running from tonight until Saturday with a matinee performance on Saturday afternoon.

Tickets can be purchased at the Guild Theatre or at Computicket at R90 per person or R70 for children under 12 years old.
