Help those affected by HIV/Aids in golf day

IN CELEBRATION of World Aids Day this Friday, Crawfords Beach Lodge will be hosting their very first Golf Day to raise funds for East London’s Sophumelela Centre.

The non-profit organisation works closely with individuals and families affected by HIV/Aids and poverty.

The Sophumelela Centre believes that both HIV/Aids and poverty groups should have access to work readiness skills and to quality education and health services in South Africa.

Sophumelela aims to restore a sense of purpose and hopefulness in communities by providing educational, employment mentor and health restoration programmes, home- based care and through connecting with vulnerable children.

The East Coast-based beach lodge, Crawfords, boasts stunning accommodation with breathtaking sea and beach views, and featuring many activities for the entire family.

By partnering with the Kempston Group, they hope to raise a substantial amount of funds for this year’s beneficiary of the Crawfords Beach Lodge Golf Day.

The event will officially commence with a shot-gun start at 12.30pm on Friday at the East London Golf Club.

Four balls are available at R1400, which includes a four ball alliance, two scores count and a golfers snack basket at prize- giving. Tees and greens are still available to businesses looking to advertise on the day.

Prize-giving will take place at 5.30pm at the East London Golf Club.

Participants looking to take part in this worthy cause may do so by contacting Barry Delport on 081-486-1843 or marketing@crawfordsbeachlodge.co.za
