FOR all blushing brides-to-be, the Bridal Fair taking place on Saturday at the East London Golf Club (ELGC) is the perfect place to inspire creativity for your big day.
Aimed at brides who are looking to plan their wedding but have no idea where to begin, the Bridal Fair will be packed with stall holders showcasing dresses, décor, stationery as well as photographers and much more.
This one-stop bridal shop has taken place annually since 2015 and has steadily and continuously grown, accommodating 59 stall holders and 650 visitors last year.
“Every year is different from the previous one in order to keep up with the latest trends, so we have a couple of first-time stall holders who are really excited to market their goodies, as well as new-style dresses for our fashion show,” ELGC’s Bridal Fair marketing coordinator Kerri Bayman said.
The Bridal Fair opens its doors at 10am on Saturday. Brides are welcome to walk through and admire the work of various industry vendors until doors close at 4pm.
Two fashion shows, taking place at 11am and 2pm in the glass tent, will showcase various outfits including wedding dresses, suits, mother-of-the-bride outfits and flower girl outfits.
Every year, the ELGC donates a portion of the proceeds from the Bridal Fair to a charity of its choice. This year local charity Helping Those in Need will be benefiting from this
“We picked Helping Those in Need because we really admire the work that they are doing to provide various types of support. They hold soup kitchens, collect old clothes, help people in need with temporary homes or jobs and assist with various community projects,” Bayman said.
Entrance to the fair is R25 per person and includes a welcome drink on arrival. Be sure not to miss this wedding extravaganza, which is set to boast all things pretty.
