STIRLING Primary School will host their first-ever reunion on August 17 where the Class of 1973 will indulge in memories of yesteryear.
Organiser Cheryl Botha (formerly Moll) said such an event had always been on her wish list.
“After noticing all the interest shown on the “Stirling Primary 1962-76” Facebook page started by my peers in 2017, it highlighted the tremendous love we all share for our primary school days,” Botha said
Stirling deputy headmaster Miles Dell said in the 20 years he’d been with the school, this was the first time they’d be having something of this nature.
“We’re excited to have the class of 1973 back. Some are even considering coming from overseas to attend this reunion,” Dell said.
He said that they had earmarked a guided tour through the school to show how it had changed since the 1970s.
Botha said she remembered poignant memories such as the exciting Hobbiton on Hogsback trips, sporting events and the devastating 1970 floods.
“We’re calling on members of the class of 1973 to attend this reunion on August 17,” Dell said.
