BCSH founder Desmond Coetzee said he was is over the moon with the assistance and support of his gained from his committee.

“The hub was formed two years ago, and for the first year, it was always difficult to organise huge events due to a lack of interest from the community. As time went by, however, it grew and today I can proudly say we have members with the experience and expertise to share on any sporting code or recreational game,” Coetzee said.

“Through hub festivals, which we are planning to host once per month, we are striving to build an active nation through community sport programmes.

“We will also provide a home for individuals who enjoy being active, as well as groups, schools or colleges, clubs, local sport organisations and sport and recreation structures,” Coetzee said.

Carelse said local sport heroes were invited as special guests and the community would will be introduced to the hub committee members.

The event starts at 9am and the closing ceremony is scheduled for 6pm.
