Eastern Cape comedy is once again taking centre stage with seven local comedians set to entertain in the Amazing Laughs show at the Guild Theatre on November 12.

The show includes well-known internet comedians Vusi Oulik and Luphelo Kodwa from Komani, Tar Mrojana and Makhekhe Qata from Mdantsane, Ngcaphephe from Gqeberha, Dani The Comedian from Duncan Village and Shuz Sigobelwana, who will also be the MC at the event.

“This show will be different because it has comedy, music, and dance,” said Sigobelwana.

“There is something for everyone, young and old.

“It is a perfect display of Eastern Cape talent and is not limited to just Xhosa because we want to include everyone.”

Sigobelwana said most of the proceeds from the show would be donated to the needy, especially the unemployed, to help them and their families during the festive season.

“We are also asking everyone who buys a ticket to bring an item of food or clothing that they would like to donate.

“We are asking for old toys and clothes that someone else can still use and enjoy.

“We have already had a good response from our supporters so far,” he said.

Oulik, who is popular on Tik Tok, said the audience could expect “a diverse set which includes various characters and lots of laughter”.

Qata, who hails from Mdantsane, said the show would offer some stress relief as the busy end of the year drew near.

The show is on for one night only on November 12, at 6 pm.

Tickets are available at Computicket at R200 for adults and R100 for children.
