What services do you offer?

We produce high quality art through various mediums.

Who are your services aimed at?

All people who appreciate innovative and thought-provoking art.

What makes your approach unique?

All the art I create is aimed at touching the mind and heart of each individual to educate, inspire and entertain.

How and when did you start?

I have always participated in choirs, ensembles and small theatre productions since I was in school. I have been doing it professionally since I left high school.

What qualifications do you have?

I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Fort Hare.

Do you work independently?

Through my journey in the arts, I have learned that nothing great is built by one person. Everything I do is by collaboration on some level.

How has the response been from audiences and the community?

The response has been overwhelming.

Can you share a success story?

When I wrote my first show, ‘Dear Tara… What Makes a Man a Man?’, I realised that the power to create the life I wanted truly lies within my hands.

What are the biggest challenges?

Funding. I’ve overcome it by working hard to raise my own funds.

What are the three most important lessons you teach?

Always start with why, learn everything you can about your craft. And just start where you are, with what you have.

What are your goals or plans?

I working on formally registering my company so that I can expand.

Are there any upcoming projects that people should know about?

I will be doing a series of shows in East London through the months of March and April.

What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a career in music, theatre, or arts education?

Stay true to their craft, be patient, and never stop learning. The industry is tough, but hard work, consistency, and networking will open doors. Invest in your skills, understand the business side of music, and make music that speaks to who you are. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with passion and persistence, it will come.

How can people book your services or stay updated on your work? (contact details, website, social media)

I am always available on all my social media platforms. You can search for @mavathesinger on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube.
