“LinkFM is a force to be reckoned with and is here to stay,” station manager Titch Wild said on Friday as the Christian radio station celebrated its 20th anniversary.

“Being on air for 20 years is a major milestone for Link FM. “This supports the certainty that Link FM has stood the test of time and has a strong listener support structure,” he said.

With its purpose being to provide a professional radio service that sets a high standard of Christian broadcasting, the station sure lives up to its vision of keeping the word of God alive 24/7 for 365 days a year and they have 20 years of service to prove it.

“It’s been a great journey. Working for Link FM has been a great joy and has given me the opportunity to speak life to others. It has been grace through and through. God has been amazing for the past 20 years and we trust Him for another 20 years,” sports anchor and Lunch Box presenter at LinkFM, Lukho Mkwedi said.

With the broadcast industry advancing, more community radio stations starting up and technology forever changing, LinkFM still proves to be the number one Christian community radio station in East London.

With values such as integrity being true to its purpose and mission, the station does a sterling job of providing spiritual upliftment to its listeners.

Loyal listeners wish nothing but the best for the station. “I go to work very early in the morning and tune into Link FM. My favourite show is Kenneth Copeland Ministries – the believers of Victory at 5.30pm and the afternoon drive and traffic update that always keeps us updated on what’s happening on the road,” listener, Deon Du Preez said.“We wish Link FM all the best in their celebration of 20 years,” Elizabeth Sakele said.

Without listeners a station doesn’t exist. We love each and every one of you,” Wild said.
