Provincial Organized Crime Unit are investigating a case of murder after a shooting incident at a block of flats parking area in Belgravia that happened at around 21:00 on January 15, where a 27 year old man was fatally wounded.
It’s alleged that the East London CSC members were patrolling in Oxford Street when they heard several gun shots, they turned the vehicle and proceeded to the direction where the gun shots were coming from.
Upon arrival, the members found the deceased male lying in the parking area between vehicles with gun shots wounds.
An eyewitness who was close by said to SAPS that three men armed with rifles, fired shots and escaped from the crime scene in a silver Suzuki vehicle with no number plates.
A case of murder has been opened and currently under investigation. No arrests have been made yet. Police are following all possible leads.
