Cadbury’s R5 Dairy Milk bar arrives in KuGompo stores

Residents across KuGompo City can now enjoy one of South Africa’s favourite chocolate brands at a more affordable price following the nationwide rollout of Cadbury’s R5 Dairy Milk bar.

The 12g Cadbury Dairy Milk bar, which was first introduced in Gauteng last year, is now available in KuGompo and surrounding communities through wholesalers, spaza shops, selected community retailers and hawkers.

With many households continuing to feel the pressure of rising living costs, the smaller chocolate bar offers an affordable treat without compromising on the smooth and creamy taste that has made Cadbury Dairy Milk a household favourite.

Whether it’s a learner looking for a lunchbox snack, a worker grabbing a quick treat during the day, or a parent wanting an affordable reward for their children, the R5 bar has been designed to suit everyday budgets.

Kile Zitha, Senior Category Manager at Cadbury South Africa, told the Go! on Monday the company wanted to make the brand more accessible to consumers.

“Consumers continue to seek out brands they know and trust, but they’re also looking for products that fit comfortably within their daily budgets,” said Zitha.

“We wanted to make it easier for more people to enjoy the Cadbury Dairy Milk experience, whether they’re on the move, at work, at school or simply looking for a small moment of reward during their day.

“The 12g bar offers an affordable way to enjoy a little chocolate magic.”

Zitha said the chocolate is packaged in Cadbury’s signature purple wrapper and is small enough to fit into a pocket, handbag or lunchbox, making it ideal for people on the move.

Local shoppers can expect to find the R5 Dairy Milk bar at participating wholesalers, neighbourhood spaza shops, community retailers and informal traders across KuGompo and the surrounding areas as the nationwide rollout gathers pace.

The launch comes as more manufacturers introduce smaller, value-for-money products to help consumers continue enjoying their favourite brands despite ongoing economic pressures.
